The short version
sir-chats-a-lot.com sets no cookies. None. No analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers.
What we do use: session storage
If you try the live chat demo on this site, the widget keeps your current conversation in your browser's sessionStorage (key: sir-chats-a-lot.marketing.thread) so the thread survives page navigation.
- This storage is strictly necessary to provide the demo you asked for — without it, the conversation would reset on every page change.
- It never leaves your browser as a tracking mechanism, contains no identifiers about you, and is deleted automatically when you close the tab.
- Under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC, as amended) and its UK implementation (PECR Reg. 6), strictly necessary storage of this kind does not require consent — which is why you don't see a cookie banner here.
Third-party content
We serve this site as static files with no embedded third-party scripts, fonts, or pixels. Our hosting and network providers (GitHub Pages, Cloudflare) may set technical headers but place no cookies via our pages.
If we ever add anything that needs consent, this page and a consent banner will appear first. Questions: privacy@proticom.com
