Terms of Service
Last updated: 9 July 2026 · Beta
These Terms govern your use of sir-chats-a-lot.com and the hosted demo (together, the "Site"), operated by JAMAEDGE Group LLC (dba Proticom), 16835 Algonquin St, Suite 205, Huntington Beach, CA 92649 ("we", "us").
The software itself is not licensed under these Terms. The Sir Chats-a-Lot widget is open-source software distributed under the MIT License; your rights and obligations for the code are exactly those of the MIT License text in the repository, no more and no less. These Terms cover only the website and demo service.
1. Beta status
The Site and demo are provided as a beta preview: features may change or break, availability is not guaranteed, and the demo may be rate-limited, modified, or withdrawn at any time without notice. EU/UK access is geo-restricted during beta.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- probe, overload, or disrupt the Site or demo (including automated bulk requests to the demo endpoint);
- use the demo to generate unlawful, infringing, or harmful content, or to attempt to extract the underlying system prompts or API credentials;
- submit personal data of others, confidential information, or special-category data to the demo;
- misrepresent AI-generated demo output as human-authored where that matters;
- circumvent geo-restrictions or origin controls.
Self-hosted deployments of the widget are your own service: you are responsible for your LLM provider terms, your users' data, applicable AI transparency obligations (e.g. EU AI Act Art. 50 disclosure that users are chatting with an AI — do not remove the widget's AI self-identification), and all content your deployment produces.
3. AI output disclaimer
Demo responses are generated by a large language model grounded in this site's published content. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated and are not professional advice. Verify before relying.
4. Intellectual property
Site content (text, design, logos) © JAMAEDGE Group LLC. The Sir Chats-a-Lot name and logo are our trademarks; the MIT License does not grant trademark rights. Source code: MIT License, see the LICENSE file.
5. Warranty disclaimer & liability
THE SITE AND DEMO ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL LIABILITY FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, AND OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM THE SITE OR DEMO SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US $100). For the open-source code, the MIT License's own warranty disclaimer applies. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
6. Digital Services Act
We are a small, non-intermediary service: we host no user-generated content directed at the public and operate no online platform within the meaning of the DSA. Should we introduce features in scope, we will publish the required point of contact and notice-and-action mechanisms. Illegal-content notices regarding anything on this Site can be sent to legal@proticom.com and will be handled without undue delay.
7. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, excluding its conflict-of-law rules; exclusive venue is the state and federal courts of Orange County, California. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain unaffected where they apply notwithstanding this clause.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms; continued use after posting means acceptance. Contact: legal@proticom.com
